The Exotic Fruits Company originally started in England back in 1995. It began as a jam and condiments company, a simple manuscript of colours and flavours producing products for a sophisticated palate. The refined beauty of their skins and the delicious taste of their flesh bring together new and interesting ideas.
These days there is a wide market for exotic foods and those well traveled should not be afraid to try them. Some of the strangest looking fruits are the most intriguing and hold an intense flavour and more importantly, a high nutritional value.
We offer both chocolate truffles and solid white, milk, dark and bitter chocolates:
We offer dairy free vegan chocolates & truffles: Passion Fruit & Strawberry, Tequila Lime, Chilli & Coconut Cream, White Chocolate Haskap Berry, and our exotic chocolate coated Pudding Truffles made with Fresh Mango, Fugi Apple, Nashi Pear & Spices.
All our chocolates are handmade. Rolled truffles, Ganaches and a few moulded and textured chocolates including confectionary bark pieces. We work with a high quality Belgium Chocolate and in addition to that we also use chocolate from Equador, Dominan Replublic, Trinidad and Madagascar.
The base notes which are used in our chocolates are the following:
Blackberry, Passionfruit, Mango, Kumquats, Limes, Yuzu’s and floral notes including Vanilla, Spices, Coconut Sugar, Coffee and Exotic Brandy.
Coffee: We use 100 % Jamaican Blue Mountain Estate Coffee including Blue Mountain Blends for our Milk Chocolate Truffles. Which is noted for its pure but mild flavour, using a medium blended bean for a smooth buttery taste and texture.
Marley Coffee: We also use 100 % Ethiopian Coffee for the moulded milk chocolate hearts (One Love, One Heart). The coffee is smooth and has exotic overtones with hints of berries, vanilla and spices.
Hawaiian Kona Coffee with Macadamia Nut: Hints of honey, brown sugar and butterscotch including notes of orange, blackberry and molasses.

Our chocolates and truffles come in a 225g white box. Our chocolate bark comes in a long, elegant white envelope, and our solid chocolates are placed in clear bags with labels and ribbons.

The chocolates are currently made at our workshop in Saskatchewan, Canada.
All types of our chocolate will last up to 2 weeks in a cool area.
To keep chocolate at its best. keep away from bright light, moisture, and odors. Ideal humidity of 65 percent . Temperature should be around 54'F (12'C) – 64'F (18'C). High quality milk and dark chocolate should keep for at least a year without losing quality. All chocolates & truffles made with cream ideally should be eaten within a few days.
In my experience I have found that most cream truffles should be kept cool or refrigerated. If properly wrapped they will last up to 4 weeks in the fridge. Chocolates & Ganache with cream can be frozen by inserting into a zip lock bag and airtight container, or better still vacuum sealed.
Yes we do! Healthy eating or a change in a diet effects most people and eating habits have changed in the last number of years. All of our Vegan chocolate is made with an oat, nut and coconut base. The truffles are the ultimate of quality chocolate to give to someone special or a token of love. We also make solid chocolate forms including box assortments, bark pieces using spices and chillies, and vegan bark. Another customer favourite is our English Biscuit Tiffin and chocolate tiffin truffles.
Chocolate Tiffin originates from Scotland during the time of The British Raj. It was used to define the custom of English afternoon Tea. We make our tiffin with caramalized biscuit, syrup, cream butterscotch caramel with Indian Kishmish raisons, and then cover in white, milk and dark Belgian chocolate.
Our most popular by far is The White Chocolate Japanese Haskap Berry truffle. Rolled and finished in icing sugar, it is such a treat!
We have 2 dairy chocolates that contain nuts. Our Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Coffee Clusters, and our Jungle Chunky Monkey Bark pieces have large peanuts. The Vegan Chocolate Bark & Truffles will always be marked or labelled.
